Katie Taylor Ringwalk - Coming Home

Young Kilkenny-based band Burnchurch were honoured with creating the soundtrack for Katie Taylor’s iconic homecoming walk to the ring. Their composition, a rousing and captivating piece driven by the enchanting sound of the uileann pipes, perfectly captured the spirit of the moment. On the night of the fight, renowned singer Sibéal sang Skyler Grey’s 2012 hit, “Coming Home” with the powerful track, and this was witnessed by 200 million viewers worldwide.

Following their remarkable presence at the historical boxing event Burnchurch garnered significant attention and have now released the complete Ringwalk anthem across various streaming platforms including YouTube and Spotify. With its undeniable potential for success, this track aims to firmly establish Burnchurch as an emerging force in the Irish music scene.

“We were incredibly lucky to get the opportunity to compose and produce the instrumental piece for such a momentous event as Katie’s Home Coming.” says Eanna O Casaide, Burnchurch member and producer of the track. “The project came to us just 48 hours before the event and we worked incredibly hard on the piece, composing and producing it in our studio at home. I believe this track really captures our distinct style and demonstrates a fresh take on Irish music.”
